The Castle of Saint Triadha entitled Cultural Monument of first category in 1963, is situated nearby the village Valare, Municipality of Gjirokastër. It was built around 1809-1810 in one of the heights of the hillstring which lies on the East of the Drino valley. The castle has a rectangular shape, with four polygonal towers in the corners, while the only entrance was opened from the North. The construction technique is with rectangle small stones carefully worked and placed in orderly rows. In its actual condition, the castle does not preserve parapets, turret or other elements of the fortification. The most preserved part of a wall and a tower reaches up to 7 m. The castle occupies a surface of 824 m2. On its inner part is found a church with the same definition.
